Stereotactic radiosurgery delivers a highly focused, high-dose radiation beam to small tumours or abnormalities, most often in the brain, with sub-millimetre precision and no surgical incision. Despite its name, it's a non-invasive procedure typically completed in a single session or a small number of sessions. At UMC Victoria Hospital, our Department of Cancer offers stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) in Kampala, Uganda, for eligible patients:
